What is SOTA??

SOTA is a student-run organization for occupational therapy students at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).  SOTA stands for Student Occupational Therapy Association, and it is open to all graduate students enrolled in the OT program at IUPUI.

The purpose of the organization is to enhance awareness about occupational therapy, provide community service, and participate in volunteer opportunities, fundraising, and social events.  Throughout the year, SOTA hosts guest speakers to discuss current trends in OT, educate members on OT equipment/services/programs, provide information on job opportunities, etc.  We also participate in events such as the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, Alzheimers Memory Walk, IUPUI Jagathon Dance Marathon, adopt-a-family, food drives, clinics in association with Riley Children's Hospital, annual OT conferences, and much more!

If you are an occupational therapy student at IUPUI, and may be interested in joining SOTA, please contact Katie Nordhoff, President, at kenordho@indiana.edu.
